The Army Game made its debut in June 1957 and lasted 4 years and over 150 episodes, about 2/3 of which have been lost. Two of the main characters were featured in a spinoff called Bootsie And Snudge. Several of the actors went on to become familiar television faces (Alfie Bass, Geoffrey Palmer, Dick Emery, Bill Fraser, Norman Rossington, Frank Williams).
